As reported by Nissan Canada

MISSISSAUGA - Today, Nissan Canada launched the Nissan LEAF consumer website offering Canadians the opportunity to learn more about the first all-electric, real world car. With Nissan LEAF hitting the Canadian market in the second half of 2011, www.nissan.ca/LEAF provides interested Canadians with information on the revolutionary Nissan LEAF, and the opportunity to stay informed of upcoming announcements.

"The launch of the consumer website is an exciting milestone as we get closer to bringing the Nissan LEAF to the Canadian market next year," said Mark McDade, Director, Marketing with Nissan Canada. "There has been a lot of interest from Canadians to learn more about electric vehicles and what the ownership experience would be like. This website is a great place to learn more about all aspects of owning and driving the Nissan LEAF."

The colourful and easy to navigate site features an extensive Q&A on the most prominent topics related to electric vehicles including charging, performance and the environment. Specific details about the Nissan LEAF including features and the driving experience are also highlighted including an extensive library of Nissan LEAF photos. A video element will be added in the next month.

"Consumers seem eager to embrace electric vehicles as a way to make a significant impact on the environment and with Nissan LEAF, they don't need to compromise comfort, style or driving pleasure," added McDade.

For those interested in being the first to hear exciting news and announcements such as pricing, they can register for email updates at www.nissan.ca/LEAF.

The launch of the website will be supported with a 60-second commercial that highlights the entire Nissan product line, that will air in movie theatres across Canada for four weeks starting May 1st.
